The Reel
The new PENN Slammer III 5500 Spinning Reel is built for heavy-duty fishing from either boat or shore and trusted by charter captains all over the world. The Slammer III features PENN's new IPX6 Sealed System which keeps water out of the gear box and drag system. It also uses the updated Slammer Drag System which now utilises PENN's Dura-Drag material.

Representing the next generation of high performance sportfishing rods, the PENN Slammer 792H Spinning Rod is powerful, lightweight, and durable. It's also equipped with tangle-free Fuji K frame guides containing SiC inserts, Fuji reel seat, and contoured high density EVA grips for a technical, sensitive, and premium finish.

The Slammer Rod features PENN's RCB² blank, consisting of a rolled composite core and outer layers of longitudinal glass to provide a lightweight, thin, and parabolic blank that flexes from grip to tip, distributing weight for extra durability. This parabolic blank offers sought after durability, balance, and recoil you need to work lures in areas ranging from reef structures to suspended schools of fish in both shallow and deep-water environments.
