The Altex Elite 321 Brushing Polyurethane Finish Coat is a specialised marine finish coat formulated for brush and roller application. It's based on the latest cyclo-aliphatic polyester technology, giving a high quality and durable finish coat with long lasting gloss.
It has been especially designed for both the Professional and DIY painter for maintenance repainting of all yachts, launches and other pleasure craft. An easy to use, high performance polyurethane with good flow-out and wet-edge characteristics, balanced with rapid dry-to-touch – makes re-paint projects on the hardstand or on the water a practical proposition.
The Altex Elite 321 Brushing Polyurethane Finish Coat allows a competent brush painter to restore their boat to a high level of finish and performance for a fraction of the price of a professional job.
Recommended for use on all vessel types to repaint:
- Topsides, cabins and decks
- Interiors, masts and fittings
- Showers, heads and galleys
Mixing
Elite 321 Brushing Polyurethane is a two-component product which contain the correct (3:1 v/v) ratio of ingredients. The entire contents of each container must be mixed together.

Altex Elite 321 Brushing Polyurethane Finish Coat Specifications:
- Mix ratio: 3 to 1 by volume
- Volume: 1L (750ml part A, 250ml part B)
- Density: 1.27 kg per mixed litre
- Gloss: High gloss
- Flash Point: 24°C Setaflash
- Thinner: Altex Thinning Solvent #22
- Pot Life: 5 hours at 25°C
- Induction Time: 15 minutes at 25°C
- Storage: Store under cool, dry conditions
- Application: Brush or Roller – Rolling + Brush Tip-off recommended
- Dry Times (at 25°C / 50 μm DFT / 50% RH): Touch dry 13/4 hours, hard dry 16 - 24 hours
- Self recoat (minimum) 4 hours, self recoat (maximum) 24 hours without fine sanding
- Colour: Plimsoll White
