The Daiwa 26 Certate HD 5000D Spinning Reel is built for anglers who demand uncompromising durability and performance. The 5000D is the perfect crossover reel for the inshore and offshore angler. Strength is never in doubt allowing the angler to take this reel anywhere and challenge powerful species such as Barramundi, Snapper and pelagic species.
This HD (Heavy Duty) model is engineered to handle sustained pressure, high drag settings and demanding angling techniques with confidence. Featuring Daiwa's rigid Monocoque aluminium body, the reel accommodates a larger drive gear for increased torque and long-term strength. Magsealed technology protects critical internal components from water and debris intrusion, ensuring consistent performance in both freshwater and saltwater environments.
Incorporating AirDrive Design, the 26 Certate HD delivers reduced rotational inertia and improved balance for a lighter, more responsive winding feel, without sacrificing power. Combined with Tough Digigear, the result is smooth, controlled power delivery when targeting large, aggressive fish. Magsealed Body
Ultimate protection is delivered to the engine room of the reel with a magnetised oil seal located on the main shaft of the reel's rotor shutting the door to the elements and unwanted intruders. Dust, water and salt intrusion into the inner workings of a reel are a thing of the past with MagSeal.
Airdrive Design
Daiwa's new Airdrive Design, a four pillar (Airdrive Rotor, Airdrive Bail, Airdrive Spool and Airdrive Shaft) design concept that reduces weight and enhances rotational smoothness and responsiveness to create a reel that is next level in both form and function.
Monocoque (MQ)
A one-piece frame eliminates the use of traditional two-piece body and sideplate construction. A single piece body utilises a screw-in engine plate to house the main gear, reducing flex and twist under load creating a sealed mechanism. The elimination of the side plate has also allowed for a more compact body design. MQ technology not only makes reels stronger and better sealed, but also more compact.
ATD Drag
Daiwa's Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start up. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.
Tough Digigear
A further evolution of its predecessor Digigear, Tough Digigear is Daiwa's brand new digitally designed, machine cut gearing system that ensures ultimate gear precision, rotational smoothness and strength.
