The two-piece Taipan features an integrated graphite blank, Fuji O-Ring guides and full-length EVA grips, while the Baitrunner 12000 OC offers 12kg of maximum drag and PowerPro capacity up to 230yds of 80lb braid. Together, they form a versatile setup for targeting larger saltwater fish from the boat.
The Reel
The Shimano Baitrunner 12000 OC Spinning Reel features Shimano's Baitrunner system for controlled free-spool operation when fishing with live or baited hooks. Propulsion Line Management System and Varispeed Oscillation support controlled line handling, while the cold-forged aluminium spool, Fluidrive II gearing and Super Stopper II anti-reverse complete the reel's feature set.
