The Shimano Socorro 10000 SW Revolution Topwater Travel Spin Combo gives you a complete topwater setup in a travel-friendly package. The three-piece Revolution Topwater Travel Spin Rod packs down for easier transport and fits inside a suitcase, while its 8ft 2in 30T carbon blank is rated PE5-8 for lures up to 150g. Paired with the 10000-size Socorro SW spinning reel and 300m of 50lb Shimano Kairiki SX8 8-strand braid, it gives you a ready-to-fish combination for taking heavier topwater tackle on the road.
The Reel
The Shimano Socorro 10000 SW Spinning Reel features Shimano's Propulsion Line Management System and Waterproof Drag, along with Dyna-Balance and Varispeed Oscillation for smooth operation and line management. Its 10000 size, 12kg maximum drag and 102cm retrieve per crank make it well suited to heavier topwater tackle.
The Rod
The Shimano Revolution Topwater Travel Spin Rod features a three-piece construction for easier transport when travelling. Its 30T carbon blank is paired with Fuji Alconite guides and a split EVA butt assembly, with an 8ft 2in length, PE5-8 line rating and maximum lure rating of 150g.
The Line
The Shimano Kairiki SX8 Braid is an eight-strand Japanese-made PE braid with a smooth finish that reduces friction through the rod guides during casting. Its low-stretch construction supports sensitivity, while Shimano Enhanced Body Treatment (S-EBT) enhances abrasion resistance. This combo includes the 50lb Mantis Green version on a 300m spool.
