The GME MT606G AIS EPIRB has an AIS (Automatic Identification System) that transmits a distress signal to satellite-based rescue systems and alerts nearby AIS-equipped vessels of the EPIRB activation. It also features GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) for accurate positioning, an infrared strobe light for improved search and rescue (SAR) visibility and a 121.5 MHz homing signal.
The GME MT606G AIS EPIRB will automatically activate when removed from its mounting bracket and deployed in water. It can also be activated by manual release. This EPIRB is approved for worldwide COSPAS-SARSAT operation, ensuring reliable distress alerting and location services globally. And thanks to its 10-year battery life, you're guaranteed of long-lasting performance and peace of mind.
