Spiral X Core
Spiral X Core is Shimano's newest and most advanced blank construction technology. It combines patented Spiral X carbon tape with cutting-edge Toray Nanoalloy® technology. This results in a rod that's up to 10% more torsionally rigid and up to 15% more compressionally rigid than rods built with standard Spiral X. This unique construction method creates an incredibly strong, high-performance blank that gives you a distinct advantage on the water.
Hi-Power X
Hi-Power X construction is a manufacturing process that uses diagonally-wrapped carbon tape on the rod's outer layer to create an array of X shapes. The width and winding angle of the tape are fine-tuned to the specific rod and target fish. This process allows for precise actions, enhanced overall strength, and added twist resistance. The result is a rod that gives you exceptionally sharp and crisp control.
C14+
C14+ is an original Shimano material reinforced with carbon fibre that is lighter and has a higher strength than conventional resin material. C14+ is an advanced version of the original C14 material and is 2.5x more rigid than its predecessor.
