The G.Loomis Asquith Saltwater Fly Rod is built for saltwater fly fishing, combining Shimano's Spiral X Core blank construction with a fast action for quick recovery and strong power transfer. The lightweight design helps with repeated casting, while the responsive blank gives you the control needed when casting heavier lines and larger flies.
The rod features SiC Titanium Recoil snake guides and SiC Titanium stripper guides for smooth line management and durability. A full Wells flor-grade cork grip, custom aluminium reel seat with a CI4+ insert, and a fighting butt complete the setup.
Spiral X Core
Shimano’s proprietary Spiral X Core technology utilises triple layer construction consisting of an oblique fibre core layer, a longitudinal middle layer, and a reverse-oblique fibre outer layer. This unique construction increases rigidity without increasing weight, providing virtually instantaneous power transmission when casting or fighting a fish.
SiC Titanium Stripper + Titanium Recoil Snake Guides
The perfect marriage of strength, weight savings, and stealth. While our ultra-light titanium snake guides look the part of a traditional guide, the added benefit of flexibility is great insurance when storing your rods in a skiff or boat.
