It also features GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) for accurate positioning, an infrared strobe light for improved search and rescue (SAR) visibility and a 121.5 MHz homing signal.
The GME MT606FG AIS EPIRB is designed to activate when your vessel is submerged to a depth of 1-4 metres. The hydrostatic release unit ejects the beacon so it can float to the surface and transmit a distress signal. This EPIRB is approved for worldwide COSPAS-SARSAT operation, ensuring reliable distress alerting and location services globally. And thanks to its 10-year battery life, you're guaranteed of long-lasting performance and peace of mind.
