Built for trophy fish and brutal conditions
The PENN Spinfisher V 10500 Ugly Stik Black Tiger Drone Fishing Combo is the ultimate heavy-duty setup for anglers who demand reliability when the pressure is on. Whether you're sending baits out with a drone or battling big game from the boat, this combo pairs the legendary, virtually unbreakable strength of an Ugly Stik Black Tiger Rod with the sheer stopping power of the PENN Spinfisher V Reel. It's a workhorse rig designed to shrug off saltwater, sand and the hardest fighting fish in the blue.
The Reel
Love the surf but hate the salt? The PENN Spinfisher V 10500 Spinning Reel features PENN's watertight design which protects the drag system and gearbox from saltwater damage. It also features a rubber gasket that keeps the superline from slipping plus the line capacity rings let you know how much line is left during the fight. With the PENN Spinfisher V 10500 Spinning Reel, no sand, salt or water can spoil your gear.
Watertight Design
A total of 6 seals are used to create the new watertight design used in the Spinfisher V. Whether you dunk the reel in the surf or let it ride in the spray all the way home, you don't have to worry about saltwater getting in the gearbox or drag system.
Slammer Drag System
A truly sealed drag system with a total of 3 HT-100 drag washers (1 on top of the spool, 2 underneath the spool). All HT-100 washers are greased for smoothness and longevity. It has an extreme range, endless adjustment, and a large diameter drag knob so you can easily crank down to max drag.
Full Metal Body
A full metal body and sideplate keep precise gear alignment under heavy loads.
Superline Spool
No backing needed because the rubber gasket keeps superline from slipping.
Line Capacity Rings
Eliminates the question of how much line you have left when fighting a fish. The three lines on the spool flange let you know when you have 1/3rd, 2/3rd or a full spool of line. If you also re-spool often, these lines find you a benchmark for backing your superlines with monofilament which will help eliminate wasted time and line.
The Rod
Feel the power of an unbreakable rod with the Ugly Stik Black Tiger Spinning Boat Rod. This spinning rod is made on powerful, fast taper, Ugly Stik blanks for line classes up to a brutal 50lbs. It also features blank-through-handle construction for added strength and sensitivity, Fuji guides and components ideal for super braid lines, over and underbound-wrapped guides for durability and longevity. Plus it's fully coated with epoxy for extra protection against UV rays. Take on big fish with confidence with the Ugly Stik Black Tiger Spinning Boat Rod.
