Improved rain cone design offers greater accuracy
The Davis 6462 AeroCone Replacement Rain Cone Kit lets you replace your old rain cone with an improved rain collector cone from Davis. It offers greater accuracy in strong wind conditions. The improved rain collector cone features an aerodynamic shape for greater accuracy in wind gusts, a locking debris screen, finger grips for easier turning, and optional bird spikes to discourage birds. It fits on the same base as the previous rain collector cone. Installation is the same, with the exception of the bird spikes. A packet of 16 3.5-inch (9 cm) bird spikes is included with the hardware.
More Accuracy in High Winds
Improved design is more accurate in strong winds. When your
console says, hold onto your hat you'll be getting the most
accurate data with this cone! The new shape allows wind to flow
around the cone, reducing turbulence and friction at the mouth of
the collector.
