The set includes a pair of lightweight 12K carbon drop-in outrigger poles and a pair of Reelax Maxi 2000 stainless steel outrigger bases, designed to work together for reliable offshore trolling performance. The heavy-duty stainless steel bases provide a strong mounting platform, while the lightweight 12K carbon poles deliver exceptional stiffness and reliable lure presentation. Cord rigging, release clips, and bungy cords are sold separately.
The Outrigger Poles
The Kilwell Longreach 12K Carbon ST Drop-In Outrigger Poles are designed for anglers who want a lightweight, stiff, and durable outrigger system for offshore trolling. Constructed from 12K carbon fibre, these 9.5m outriggers feature thinner walls than standard fibreglass poles, making them approximately 40% lighter while delivering excellent stiffness for reliable lure presentation.
Designed as drop-in poles, the parallel glass-wrapped butt fits 47mm I.D. stainless steel outrigger bases. Each two-piece pole features a flush-fit spigot joint that provides a secure friction fit and can be permanently bonded if preferred. The outriggers are fitted with 316 stainless steel eye bolt line guides and spear tips to help prevent lines from wrapping over the pole tip and becoming tangled while trolling.
The Outrigger Bases
The Reelax Maxi 2000 Stainless Steel Outrigger Bases are built for anglers trolling large skirted lures and heavy offshore baits. Explicitly engineered to handle the extreme physical leverage of extra-long poles up to 9.5m, they provide an ultra-rigid, reliable mounting solution for 130lb heavy tackle tournament game fishing.
Constructed from marine-grade 316 stainless steel with an electropolished mirror finish, the Maxi 2000 bases feature an extra-long 2000mm rigger tube with a 47mm internal diameter to safely accommodate larger carbon poles. Unlike the smaller Mini and Junior series, they incorporate a robust structural hold arm with a spring-loaded locking pin assembly that is custom-trimmed, welded, and polished during installation to perfectly match your boat's bridge layout. They can be mounted on the deck, cabin side, or flybridge.
