The Reel
The Shimano Calcutta has been a longstanding workhorse in Shimano's stable of quality reels. The Shimano Calcutta CT 400 B Overhead Reel features an anodised body and spool to stand the pressures of regular saltwater use. This reel also has a multi-disc carbon drag which dissipates heat in the drag evenly and exerts very high drag pressures. It also features a larger style handle with rubberised grips, Super Stopper, Assist Stopper and runs smoothly on Shimano's A-RB Bearings plus one roller bearing.
