The Reel
Nimble, agile and simply a ton of fun to fish, the Okuma Cortez CZ-10CS Star Drag Overhead Reel brings light tackle performance to a whole new level. Drop-down gearbox, swept in handle and Ergo grip handle knob accentuate balance and delivery of power from the XL gearing, red anodised machined aluminium spool and multi-disc Carbonite drag system. Graphite frame and side plates maintain a feather light feel and balance while increasing corrosion resistance. From the beach, pier and jetty or the deck of a sportfisher, the Okuma Cortez is perfect for lures, live and chunk bait with casting governed by an externally adjustable magnetic cast control system.
The Rod
The Okuma Tournament Concept Overhead Jigging Rod is built using Okuma's patented Unidirectional Fibre Reinforcement technology. Exclusively designed for Kiwi anglers by the team at Composite Developments - each one built strong enough to fight tough fish and last you many seasons!
It's manufactured using a patented process with an outer layer of longitudinal fibres around the rod blank to significantly increase strength and power in the tip section. This offers lifting power and strength up to four times conventional graphite rods. The Okuma Tournament Concept Rod is durable, powerful and can be fished by all anglers with confidence.
