Shimano's Super Slow 5 oscillation system with Aero Wrap crosslay technology guarantees perfect line lay and prevents jamming of individual turns on the spool when fighting strong fish. Thanks to the redesigned Parallel Body that positions the reel parallel to the rod, line friction has been reduced during the cast on the first guide.
Additionally, Rigid Cast technology reduces spool chatter on the cast, and the AR-C spool lip reduces line friction to extend line distance. This enables long and accurate casts, even when using thicker and stiffer lines. And what's more, the Shimano 23 Speedmaster 14000 XSD Spinning Surf Reel's generous spool size allows you to hold up to 550m of line with a diameter of 0.35mm. The set also includes practical spool reducers (3500, 10000), allowing you to wind a smaller amount of line if necessary, while filling the spool to the very edge.
