Its action is tuned to handle a wide range of lures, giving you the control to make accurate casts while maintaining the strength to confidently handle strong fish. Crafted with Shimano’s Spiral X-Core technology, the blanks deliver lightweight strength, enabling accurate casts and a crisp, responsive fight once you’re hooked up.
Spiral X Core
Spiral X Core is Shimano's newest and most advanced blank construction technology. It combines patented Spiral X carbon tape with cutting-edge Toray Nanoalloy® technology. This results in a rod that's up to 10% more torsionally rigid and up to 15% more compressionally rigid than rods built with standard Spiral X. This unique construction method creates an incredibly strong, high-performance blank that gives you a distinct advantage on the water.
Carbon Monocoque
The Carbon Monocoque grip is a carbon-moulded grip that is lightweight with high sensitivity, transferring even the smallest vibration to an angler's hand. It increases sensitivity by 30% compared to traditional rod handles and utilises a hollow structure that eliminates unncessary parts of the rear grip to improve weight reduction and vibration transmission.
X Guide
The X Guide was born to bring out blank potential to the fullest. Its one-piece, 3D-moulded frame supports the tip guides with a beautiful, strong structure. This design, combined with a calculated inclination angle, actively suppresses line entanglement. The tip guides are light and smalll, and the butt section is equipped with the Aero Titanium X guide for an improved casting feel and greater distance. Overall, the X Guide is Shimano's original high-performance guide, combining superior lightness, casting power, and a trouble-free experience in a single, high-dimension system.
Hi-Power X
Hi-Power X construction is a manufacturing process that uses diagonally-wrapped carbon tape on the rod's outer layer to create an array of X shapes. The width and winding angle of the tape are fine-tuned to the specific rod and target fish. This process allows for precise actions, enhanced overall strength, and added twist resistance. The result is a rod that gives you exceptionally sharp and crisp control.
C14+
C14+ is an original Shimano material reinforced with carbon fibre that is lighter and has a higher strength than conventional resin material. C14+ is an advanced version of the original C14 material and is 2.5x more rigid than its predecessor. While improving lightness and rigidity, reel bodies, rotors, and reel seats built with C14+ are further reduced in size and weight.
