The Shimano 26 Zodias 270UL Ultra Light Spin Rod combines a lightweight, highly balanced design with the sensitivity and responsive handling needed for light lure fishing. Its Hi-Power X carbon construction helps improve casting accuracy and power transmission, while the Carbon Monocoque grip enhances vibration transmission to help detect subtle changes and bites.
Refined for modern freshwater lure fishing, the 270UL has a lightweight 100g build, Fast action and a 2–10g lure rating. The 7ft length offers precise handling for lighter presentations, while the Max PE 0.8 main-line rating suits lighter braid applications.
Hi-Power X
Hi-Power X uses diagonally wrapped carbon material to reinforce the blank and suppress twisting during casting. This construction helps maintain a crisp, stable feel while supporting casting accuracy, power transfer and responsive lure control.
Carbon Monocoque
Carbon Monocoque grip is a carbon-moulded grip that is lightweight with high sensitivity, transferring even the smallest vibration to an angler's hand. The Carbon Monocoque Grip increases sensitivity by 30% compared to traditional rod handles and utilises a hollow structure that eliminates unnecessary parts of the rear grip to improve weight reduction and vibration transmission.
CI4+ Reel Seat
The lightweight CI4+ reel seat contributes to weight reduction while maintaining a secure reel fit. Combined with the Carbon Monocoque grip, it supports sensitivity and feedback through the handle for improved lure control and bite detection.
