The Shimano Dialuna S86L-S Spinning Rod is the ultimate JDM saltwater inshore rod. It has a technically advanced blank which is very strong, sensitive and light, making it perfect for its purpose: inshore distance fishing. If you're looking for the perfect long-distance seabass rod: the new Dialuna is the one. The new designed blanks feature Spiral X, Hi-Power X and Muscle Carbon technologies, the action is perfectly developed to progressively load the lure weight and release it with a fast recovery tip action. The blanks are equipped with Fuji SiC-guides, the Shimano Ci4+ Perfection reel seat and EVA split grip, resulting in an extremely lightweight and sensitive rod.
Spiral X
Spiral X construction consists of 3 layers: a blank made of vertical fibres, an inner layer, and an outer layer both comprised of carbon tape that tightly winds the blank diagonally in opposite directions. By using this carbon tape in place of a conventional horizontal fibre sheet, Spiral X achieves enhanced torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. This in turn facilitates instant power transmission for precise casting and fighting fish. Through its exclusive lightweight structure, Shimano's Spiral X construction enhances your "catching power!"
Hi-Power X
In Hi-Power X construction, the blank's outermost layer is diagonally wrapped with carbon tape, which forms an array of "X" shapes. The width of the tape, its winding angle and the part of the rod being wrapped are fine-tuned according to the target fish species. The flexibility allows Shimano to adjust these wraps during construction for precise actions, enhanced overall strength and added twist reistance. in short, Hi-Power X construction delivers sharp and crisp rod control for the angler.
Fuji SiC
Silicon Carbide or SiC is one of the most advanced ceramics available today. It's the hardes and most durable in Fuji's lineup and because of this, the SiC guides are particularly well suited for braided line.
Taftec Tips
Taftec's Tough Construciton Power Carbon formula utilises pre-stretched T-3500 yarn fibres with low resin saturation, ensuring the original structure remains intact even when ground. The result is a spineless construction which our tests have shown to be a massive 250% percent - plus lower in weight, faster in action and more sensitive.
