The perfect balance of finesse and power
The Shimano Miravel 2500HG Stream Flight Light Spin Combo is your ultimate companion for hitting the backcountry streams and canals with confidence. By pairing the ultra-lightweight, high-performance Miravel reel with the crisp 30T carbon Stream Flight rod, Shimano has created a setup that offers the sensitivity needed for delicate lure work and the rugged durability required to land that trophy Trout. Whether you're working egg patterns in the canals or flicking small lures in fast-flowing rivers, this combo provides a seamless, responsive feel that keeps you fishing longer without the fatigue.
The Reel
Positioned as the ultra-accessible flagship of Shimano's Magnumlite (MGL) Series, the new Shimano Miravel 2500HG Spinning Reel is engineered for Kiwi anglers wanting a lightweight, super-responsive, and effortlessly smooth spinning reel without breaking the bank.
Built with a tough CI4+ carbon-infused body and enhanced by Hagane Gear and SilentDrive, it packs rigid power and silky-smooth retrieval that holds up against aggressive strikes. The 2026 upgrade elevates its performance even further—incorporating InfinityDrive for lighter winding under heavy load, an Anti-Twist Fin for flawless line management, a seamless One-Piece Bail, and X Protect water resistance to keep saltwater at bay. Whether you're flicking micro-jigs and softbaits for Snapper and Trevally, working egi lures for Squid off the rocks, or targeting Trout in the lakes and streams, the Miravel delivers the delicate sensitivity, casting distance, and brute durability needed to level up your catch rates.
The Rod
Built for freshwater lure fishing, the Shimano Stream Flight Light Freshwater Spin Rod combines precise casting and responsive feel with an ultra-lightweight, crisp 30T carbon blank. It features V-Mark Titanium guides, a Shimano reel seat and classic cork grips for a responsive setup suited to a range of trout fishing applications.
With purpose-tuned actions for different trout fishing styles, the Stream Flight range suits everything from backcountry streams and fast-flowing rivers to egg rolling in canals and jigging in deeper lakes.
