A responsive setup for heavy offshore jigging
The Shimano Ocea Conquest 300HG Grappler Type J Full Bend B604 Overhead Combo pairs a 300-size overhead jigging reel with a 6ft two-piece full-bend rod rated to PE3 and 330g jigs. The Ocea Conquest 300HG combines smooth winding with strong cranking power, while the Grappler Type J Fullbend B604 is designed for jigging species such as tuna and kingfish.
The full-bend rod action helps maintain a stable rod position during fights, while the two-piece construction makes the rod easier to transport and store.
The Reel
The Shimano Ocea Conquest 300HG Jigging Reel combines MICROMODULE II gearing, a rigid HAGANE Body and Infinity Drive for smooth winding and cranking power. X-Protect helps improve water resistance around key internal areas, while the Fall Lever provides controlled adjustment of jig descent speed. The level-wind system releases line in a straight path to support smooth jig movement during the fall.
The Rod
The Shimano Grappler Type J Full Bend B604 OH Jigging Rod features a TAFTEC Infinity high-strength solid carbon core wrapped with a lightweight carbon sheet in a hybrid construction. This combination provides strength, thinness and lightness, while the full-bend action helps maintain a stable rod position and reduce angler fatigue during fights.
The flat-style rear grip provides a practical bracing point when jerking the rod, while the 6ft two-piece construction makes the rod easier to transport. The B604 is rated to PE3 and 330g jigs and is designed for targeting tuna and kingfish.
