The Shimano Ocea Jigger 2501 MG Lever Drag Jigging Reeli s designed for both slow-pitch and speed jigging, combining powerful winding and stopping power with precise, consistent drag control. Its 5.7:1 medium gear ratio is suited to situations where cranking power and drag strength are essential, including jigging at depths of around 150ft.
The lever drag system offers easy, consistent drag adjustment and stable performance under high drag, with up to 44lb of drag available when you need it. The reel's rigid construction and compact design also help maximise winding power, palmability and line control during demanding jigging.
Infinity Drive
Infinity Drive uses a specialised drag design to increase drag force while reducing side-load pressure. This can produce up to 40% lighter rotation during tough battles and high-drag situations, helping maintain smooth and powerful winding when you need it most.
S-Compact Body
The S-Compact Body reduces the B-side plate by 25%, creating a more compact shape that fits comfortably in the palm. The cutout also improves thumbing and line control while jigging.
X-Protect
X-Protect shields the drive gear bearing from corrosion, helping maintain reliable performance and durability in demanding saltwater conditions.
