The new Shimano 25 Ocea Plugger Limited S88MH Medium Heavy Topwater Spin Rod takes casting performance to the next level. The unique new guide system, the X-guide Touch Free Titanium guide train, challenges conventional wisdom. By thoroughly analysing the expected reel size and the ideal guide position, a high-frame shape was created that chokes the line to eliminate blank slap and produce stable, highly efficient line movement. The result is increased casting distance, giving your lure more time in the bite zone. It also suppresses wind knots and reduces line damage.
X Guide
The X Guide was born to bring out blank potential to the fullest. Its one-piece, 3D-moulded frame supports the tip guides with a beautiful, strong structure. This design, combined with a calculated inclination angle, actively suppresses line entanglement. The tip guides are light and smalll, and the butt section is equipped with the Aero Titanium X guide for an improved casting feel and greater distance. Overall, the X Guide is Shimano's original high-performance guide, combining superior lightness, casting power, and a trouble-free experience in a single, high-dimension system.
Hi-Power X
Hi-Power X construction is a manufacturing process that uses diagonally-wrapped carbon tape on the rod's outer layer to create an array of X shapes. The width and winding angle of the tape are fine-tuned to the specific rod and target fish. This process allows for precise actions, enhanced overall strength, and added twist resistance. The result is a rod that gives you exceptionally sharp and crisp control.
Spiral X Core
Spiral X Core is Shimano's newest and most advanced blank construction technology. It combines patented Spiral X carbon tape with cutting-edge Toray Nanoalloy® technology. This results in a rod that's up to 10% more torsionally rigid and up to 15% more compressionally rigid than rods built with standard Spiral X. This unique construction method creates an incredibly strong, high-performance blank that gives you a distinct advantage on the water.
Screw Lock Joint
The Screw Lock Joint provides increased strength and makes assembly and disassembly easy. As you twist the rod sections together, the joint locks more securely, ensuring a tight fit. To detach the sections, just twist in the opposite direction for a quick and simple release.
C14+
C14+ is an original Shimano material reinforced with carbon fibre that is lighter and has a higher strength than conventional resin material. C14+ is an advanced version of the original C14 material and is 2.5x more rigid than its predecessor. While improving lightness and rigidity, reel bodies, rotors, and reel seats built with C14+ are further reduced in size and weight.
