The Shimano 26 Grappler Type C S82XH Topwater Spin Rod is built for demanding boat casting and targeting powerful game fish. Its Spiral X and Hi-Power X blank construction enhances strength, torsional rigidity and rod control, while the lightweight blank and components help reduce fatigue during extended casting sessions. An optimised guide system also helps minimise line trouble when casting and retrieving. With a PE10 rating and 200g max lure weight, the S82XH is suited to heavy topwater applications and larger quarry.

Spiral X
Shimano's patented Spiral X construction uses three layers: a middle layer of vertical fibres with inner and outer layers of carbon tape wound diagonally in opposite directions. This construction increases compression and torsional rigidity without adding unnecessary weight, helping transmit power through the blank for responsive casting and fish fighting.

Hi-Power X
Hi-Power X construction uses diagonally wrapped carbon tape to form an X pattern around the outer layer of the blank. The tape width, winding angle and coverage are tuned during construction to create precise actions, increase overall strength and improve twist resistance. This gives the rod sharp, responsive control during casting and when fighting fish.
