Two-speed power for offshore game fishing
The Shimano Talica II 25A 2-Speed Game Chaser FR Bent Butt Combo combines a Talica II 25A two-speed game reel with a 5ft 8in two-piece fully rollered bent butt game rod rated for 24kg line. The setup is suited to offshore game fishing where controlled winding power and reliable line control are important.
The bent butt configuration provides a practical setup for stand-up game fishing, while the progressive rod action helps provide leverage during extended fights.
The Reel
The Shimano Talica II 25A 2-Speed Lever Drag Game Reel combines a rigid HAGANE body with Infinity Drive for reduced side-load pressure and smoother winding under high loads. X-Protect helps improve water resistance around key internal areas, while the two-speed gearing provides high and low gear ratios for adjusting retrieve speed and winding power during a fight.
The Light-Line Drag Cam provides an additional drag curve for fishing lighter monofilament lines, while Cross Carbon Drag and shielded S A-RB bearings complete the reel.
The Rod
The Shimano Game Chaser Fully Rollered Bent Butt Game Rod features Armour 40-5 blank technology with a deep-loading, progressive action that provides leverage during stand-up game fishing. The fully rollered ALPS guides support smooth line flow under high drag pressure, while the ALPS bent butt assembly is suited to stand-up fishing and boat rod holders.
The 5ft 8in two-piece rod is rated for 24kg line and is suited to offshore game fishing for species such as tuna and marlin.
