The Shimano Talica II 25A 2-Speed Status BW Bent Butt Roller Tip Combo combines a Talica II 25A two-speed game reel with a 5ft 6in two-piece bent butt roller tip rod rated for 24-37kg line. The setup is suited to deep-drop fishing with electric reels as well as offshore game fishing.
The bent butt configuration provides a practical setup for heavy offshore tackle, while the roller tip supports smooth line flow when fishing braided line.
The Reel
The Shimano Talica II 25A 2-Speed Lever Drag Game Reel combines a rigid HAGANE body with Infinity Drive for reduced side-load pressure and smoother winding under high loads. X-Protect helps improve water resistance around key internal areas, while the two-speed gearing provides high and low gear ratios for adjusting retrieve speed and winding power during a fight.
The Light-Line Drag Cam provides an additional drag curve for fishing lighter monofilament lines, while Cross Carbon Drag and shielded S A-RB bearings complete the reel.
The Rod
The Shimano Status Bluewater Bent Butt Electric Deep Drop Rod features a Power Carbon composite blank constructed from E-Glass and graphite, providing high hoop strength and a powerful, progressive action under heavy loads. Heavy-duty Seaguide guides and the roller tip support smooth line control when fishing braided line, while the bent butt provides a secure base for offshore tackle.
The 5ft 6in two-piece rod is rated for 24-37kg line and is suited to deep-drop fishing with electric reels as well as offshore game fishing.
