Spooled and ready for topwater
The Reel BG 16 Series 2016 5000 / 26 BG BLUEWATER S79-3/5 + X4 J Braid 270M Yellow 50lb pairs the aluminium-bodied Daiwa BG16 5000 spinning reel with a 7ft 9in, 2-piece BG Bluewater rod rated PE3-5, and comes spooled with 270m of yellow 50lb X4 J-Braid. The high-visibility line is easy to follow, and the rod has the backbone to lead hard-pulling fish. Just clip on a lure.
The Reel
The new Daiwa BG16 5000 Spinning Reel is a heavy-duty super reel that starts with Daiwa's legendary Real Four Design formula. An amalgamation of Real Engine, Real Control, Real Endurance, Real Custom and Real Four gives rise to spin excellence that is unrivalled in design, performance and quality.
The Rod
The Daiwa BG Bluewater Spinning Rod S79-3/5 7ft 9in PE3-5 2pc is an offshore rod from the 26 BG Bluewater series, which combines performance and value. Its unidirectional wrapped graphite/fibreglass construction makes the blank incredibly resilient, with an unwavering backbone and the power to lift and lead hard-pulling fish. EVA grips and a rubber gimbal deliver strength and control, and the series now features Fuji guides.
The Braid
Perfectly suited for spin and baitcaster reels, the new, super high visibility Daiwa X4 J-Braid is ideal for the full spectrum of lure casting applications - from light tackle soft plastics through to shore game rock and beach fishing. Every fisho knows that supreme line management is critical for longer casts with less knots. J-Braid PE boasts all of that, with a smooth, round profile design, that wraps neatly and evenly onto the reel spool.
