The Reel
The Shimano Thunnus 4000 F Ci4 Baitrunner Reel is excellent for straylining, livebaiting or casting poppers from the bricks for trophy sized Snapper and Kingfish. Built for larger saltwater species, this reel covers every inshore and light-medium offshore application imaginable. It features a CI4 body and rotor making it lightweight which lessens the pressure on your back while you fish for that record-breaking fish.

The Shimano Maikuro II Spinning Rod is part of Shimano’s 2020 Maikuro series, expertly engineered to deliver great value, versatility,and performance. This 2 piece spinning rod features highly responsive graphite blanks, making it ideal for taking on freshwater fish and even heavier coastal and reef dwellers. The sleek, modern design sports a matt black finish with white, silver and black trims, while the butt configurations utilise Sea Guide carbon hooded reel seats. A combination of cork and EVA grips were selected for the rod to give it the best transmission of bites. Versatile and efficient, Shimano’s Maikuro rods are tried and true favourites amongst anglers.
