The Shimano Power Aero 14000 XSC Power Aero Lowrider Surf Combo combines a 7ft 4-8kg medium light spinning rod with a compact 4000-size Baitrunner reel for soft bait fishing. The two-piece Taipan features an integrated graphite blank, Fuji O-Ring guides and full-length EVA grips, while the Baitrunner 4000 OC offers 7kg of maximum drag and PowerPro capacity up to 265yds of 15lb braid. Together, they form a balanced setup for soft bait fishing and targeting a range of inshore saltwater fish.
The Reel
The Shimano Baitrunner 4000 OC Spinning Reel features Shimano's Baitrunner system for controlled free-spool operation when fishing with live or baited hooks. Propulsion Line Management System and Varispeed Oscillation support controlled line handling, while the cold-forged aluminium spool and Baitrunner system complete the reel's feature set. Its compact 4000 size, 7kg maximum drag and 15lb PowerPro capacity suit lighter saltwater fishing applications.
