Light, smooth and built for slow jigging
A light, smooth outfit for slow jigging and soft baits, the Tica FlashCast FC4000 Shimano Vortex Slow Jig / Soft Bait Combo 20lb 6ft 6in teams the 299g TiCA Flash Cast FC4000 with a 6ft 6in one-piece Shimano Vortex rod. Rod and reel are both made for the Kiwi lifestyle.
The Reel
The TiCA Flash Cast FC4000 Ultra Light Softbait Spin Reel offers a precision build and silky smooth feel at a great value price point. The FC4000 weighs only 299g, making it ideal for building an ultra-light spinning combo. Carbon is used for the frame, rotor and handle to keep the weight down but also to keep the frame rigid and strong. The 5.2:1 gear train runs fast and smooth on 9 RRB ball bearings, and the redesigned carbon drag washer gives a smaller, lighter drag system with a 50% increase in drag force to maintain a max drag of 7kg.
The Rod
The Shimano Vortex Spinning Slow Jig Rod is a dynamic and versatile rod designed to fit directly into the Kiwi lifestyle. This rod features a Power-Carbon blank to take the knocks, and an integrated glass tip to retain sensitivity from the bite to the fight and enhance overall performance without compromise. These features allow anglers to take full advantage of the more traditional bait fishing techniques.
