A hole in the hull is a very serious matter, so to ensure these holes remain watertight and don't compromise the hull, a thru-hull fitting is used.
The Sea-Dog Polypropylene Thru-Hull Fitting is secured to an opening through the hull, to which a pipe or duct can be attached, allowing the passage of fluids or gas into or out from the boat. Durable injection-moulded polypropylene construction is highly resistant to corrosion and UV damage, and lighter compared to traditional bronze fittings. Designed for use above the waterline, it's ideal for genset exhaust, head discharge, livewell drain, bilge outlet or sink drains.
