The Shimano Baitrunner 12000 D Taipan Heavy Spinning Boat Combo combines a 7ft 10-15kg heavy spinning rod with a high-capacity 12000-size Baitrunner reel for boat fishing with heavier tackle. The two-piece Taipan features an integrated graphite blank, Fuji O-Ring guides and full-length EVA grips, while the Baitrunner 12000 D offers 25lb of maximum drag and braid capacity up to 230yds of 80lb braid. Together, they form a versatile setup for targeting larger saltwater fish from the boat.
The Reel
The Shimano Baitrunner 12000 D Spinning Reel features an Aero Wrap oscillation system, cold-forged aluminium spool, Power Roller III and Propulsion Line Management System for controlled line handling and casting. Super Stopper II, Dyna-Balance and the lightweight graphite body complete the reel's feature set. Its 12000 size, 25lb maximum drag and large line capacity suit boat fishing with heavier tackle.
