The Shimano Talica II 25A 2-Speed Status BW Deep Drop Combo combines the Shimano Talica II 25A two-speed lever-drag reel with a 5ft 6in two-piece Status Bluewater Bent Butt Electric Deep Drop Rod rated for 50-80lb line. The Talica II 25A offers a 5.2:1 high gear ratio, 1.9:1 low gear ratio and 22.5kg maximum drag, while the Status Bluewater rod features a full E-Glass blank and powerful progressive action for heavy deep-drop fishing.
The two-piece rod features a Shimano Channel Lock alloy bent butt and heavy-duty Seaguide guides, making the combo suited to deep-drop fishing with electric reels and other heavy offshore applications.
The Reel
The Shimano Talica II 25A 2-Speed Lever Drag Game Reel features a compact aluminium body with Shimano's Infinity Drive, Cross Carbon Drag and S A-RB bearings for smooth operation and power under load. X-Protect helps improve water resistance, while the two-speed gearing allows quick changes between high and low ratios to adjust retrieve speed and winding power during a fight.
The 5.2:1 high gear and 1.9:1 low gear provide a choice of retrieve speed and cranking power for heavy offshore fishing.
The Rod
The Shimano Status Bluewater Bent Butt Electric Deep Drop Rod features a full E-Glass blank with high hoop strength and a powerful progressive action for heavy deep-drop fishing. Heavy-duty Seaguide guides provide reliable line control, while the Shimano Channel Lock alloy bent butt provides a secure connection for an electric reel.
The 5ft 6in two-piece rod is rated for 50-80lb line and is suited to heavy deep-drop applications.
