A lightweight setup for precise lure work
The Shimano Twin Power XD FB C3000HG Zodias Medium Spin Combo pairs a lightweight 3000-size spinning reel with a 7ft 4in Medium rod for responsive lure fishing. The Zodias combines a lightweight build with a crisp, sensitive feel for casting and working lures, while the Twin Power XD offers smooth winding and dependable drag performance.
Rated for 5-21g lures and up to PE 1.5 line, it is suited to a broad range of lure presentations. Together, the reel and rod make a lightweight setup for precise casting, lure control and bite detection.
The Reel
The Shimano Twin Power XD FB C3000HG Spinning Reel combines a lightweight MGL Rotor with a rigid Hagane Body for a compact setup with smooth, responsive winding. Infinity Cross and Infinity Drive support gear durability and winding power, while Infinity Loop supports casting performance. X-Protect helps protect key areas from water and foreign matter, while Duracross drag washers provide smooth and reliable drag performance.
With 9kg of maximum drag and 86cm of retrieve per crank, it is suited to a range of inshore lure fishing applications.
The Rod
The Shimano Zodias Medium Spinning Rod combines a lightweight build with a crisp, responsive feel for precise lure fishing. Hi-Power X construction reinforces the blank to support casting accuracy, power transmission and stable lure control, while the Carbon Monocoque grip helps reduce weight and improve sensitivity.
The lightweight CI4+ reel seat and Carbon Monocoque grip support sensitivity through the handle, while Fuji Alconite guides and optimised guide spacing contribute to the rod's casting performance. Rated for 5-21g lures and up to PE 1.5 line, the 7ft 4in two-piece rod has a Medium power rating and Regular Fast action.
